Mourning never remains continuously. God is making an end to it today. That is why He says to you, your days of mourning shall be ended. Jabez had many sufferings. And Jabez was more honourable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bare him with sorrow.(1Chro 4:9). Jabez prayed to God and on that instant his sufferings came to an end. And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.(1Chro 4:10). Because Hannah was barren she was always grieved about her situation. Her husband could not console her. And as he did so year by year, when she went up to the house of the LORD, so she provoked her; therefore she wept, and did not eat. Then said Elkanah her husband to her, Hannah, why weepest thou? and why eatest thou not? and why is thy heart grieved? am not I better to thee than ten sons?(1Sam 1:7-8). She poured her heart in the presence of God in the temple of God and petitioned to God to grant her a child. And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the LORD, and wept sore. And she vowed a vow, and said, O LORD of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man(1Sam 1:10-11). God listen to her petition and prayer. From that day onwards her grief ended. And she said, Let thine handmaid find grace in thy sight. So the woman went her way, and did eat, and her countenance was no more sad.(1Sam 1:18). God who listen to the prayer so Jabez and Hannah, will also listen to your prayers and bring to an end your sorrows and grief. The Children of God will face pains and sorrows in their life. But that will change in to happiness and rejoicing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.(Jn 16:20). In your life you may face sorrows and pains due to trials. Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: (1Pet 1:5-6). When you troubled due to trials be patience and rejoice because of the promise of the coming eternal joy. That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls. (1Pet 1:7-9) Today the sufferings you are going through may give you pains like the hills. Be patience and faithful to God and look for what God is going to teach you through this tribulation. You offer yourself to God for the revelation you get out of these sufferings. Then your sorrows will turn in to rejoicing. A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world. And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.(Jn 16:21-22).
Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, both young men and old together: for I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow. - Jeremiah 31:13
