But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint”. - Isaiah 40:31
These days when we talk about coming to church to wait in the presence of The Lord for the prayers, people say that they are unable to come, because they are busy. This answer shows they have no time for prayer, which means they have more work than the prayers and waiting in the presence of God. Do you know why you are not able to overcome your situations and problems? Why you feel that everything gets hindered in your life? The reason is you are not waiting in the presence of God in prayer and that makes you face continuous struggles. Today Lord speaks with you, the truth is, waiting in the presence of God will make you receive and renew your strength. Waiting in prayer with patience is receiving the mighty strength from God. Jesus prays to the Father to fulfill the will of God. “ And he came out, and went, as he was wont, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also followed him. And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation. And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed, Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done”(Luke 22:39-42) Here to fulfill the will of the Father, Jesus needed strength. When he waits in the presence of the Father in prayer he receives strength. He thus fulfills His will. “ And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him”(Luke 22:43) To live a holy life in this word it is very important we need the strength from God. When you wait in the presence of God in prayer you are receiving that mighty godly strength.
When you wait in the presence of God for a long time in prayer, Jesus also waits for you to give the answers to your prayers. After waiting in the presence of God in prayer you receive strength. The strength of God reaches you in different ways. It may be the wisdom needed to solve your problems, It may be the guidance of God, it may be the favor you need in the sight of man, It may be a healing or even your Financial needs. Whatever be your needs, you will receive it by giving time in prayers in the presence of God. In this rushing world you are not bringing your needs in the presence of God and you go as per your own knowledge and wisdom and so you struggle. You won’t be able to overcome the problem rising against you. Sometimes you may feel you pray daily for longer durations yet you feel depressed. It’s true you are praying and you are spending more times in prayer, but you have to wait in the presence of God to hear His voice. Dear beloved, after your prayers you must wait in the presence of God for the answers and for His counsel. Then you will receive solution for all your daily problems. The advice and counsel you receive from God will give you ideas to do things better. David is a man who experienced the blessing in waiting in the presence of God in prayer. “ I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry”.(Ps 40:1) “For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness”.(Ps 84:10)
The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy. - Psalms 147:11
