Elijah was one of great prophets. He had a great zeal for God. He was an ordinary man like us and he had done miracles and wonders. Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.(James 5:17-18) But he got weary in his life. Elijah, the man who had a great zeal for God, lost his zeal, and slept under a juniper tree. But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers. And as he lay and slept under a juniper tree,(1Kings 19:4-5) What these refer? These refer that Elijah was fire in Godly things, spiritual growth and he was ready to do anything for God, but now he lost all and sleeping. Like Elijah you might also have lived fire for God. Well, in your spiritual growth, you were a good prayer warrior but you lost all this and living as lukewarm. Today the Lord is speaking with you to restore whatever you might have lost. The Lord we are worshiping is the God who seeks and gives whatever we havelost. For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.( Luke 19:10 ) Call upon Him. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.(Ps 51:12) Why Elijah lost all his hope? He heard the news that Jezebel was seeking a way to kill him. And he got fear about his life and he became weary. He forgot that God would save his life. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.(Jn 10:10) Today check your life why you get weary. Satan is working cunningly to take the peace and joy of God from you. To take the pleasure from you, he makes you slaves to the world and sin. So in this filthy world you are forced to commit sin. And you are losing one by one. God sent his angel to change the life of Elijah. And as he lay and slept under a juniper tree, behold, then an angel touched him, and said unto him, Arise and eat. And he looked, and, behold, there was a cake baken on the coals, and a cruse of water at his head. And he did eat and drink, and laid him down again. And the angel of the LORD came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee. And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God.(1Kings 19:5-8) Today to restore your life Lord is speaking through the word of God. Today you are going to quicken you. He will restore everything you lost and live zeal for God.
