"Do not love the world [of sin that opposes God and His precepts], nor the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him." 1 John 2:15 (AMP)
The Bible is very clear that the ways of this world system, which we live in, contradict the ways of our God. So, when we measure success the way the world measures success we can be sure we're going to get it wrong! The success of our lives cannot be measured by the amount of money we've made or the achievements we've accomplished. Those things are nice, and sometime are given by The Lord, but in themselves, these things fail to accurately measure success from a heavenly perspective. C.S. Lewis once said, "It is not your business to succeed, but to do right: when you have done so, the rest lies with God." Trust the Lord, obey the Lord, and follow the Lord wherever He leads, and you will be sure to achieve heavenly success, regardless of what the outcome may be here on this earth; your success will be recorded, and rewarded, in Heaven!
