We are called for the kingdom of God. That’s why Jesus proclaimed the kingdom of heaven is at hand therefore repent and change your heart. In the above parable the kingdom of God is compare with the trader of pearls.
Common people cannot trade with pearls. Only the rich and very rich can do business with pearls. Word of God tells us that Jesus is rich. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.(Rom 10:12). He is rich in His grace. In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;(Eph 1:7). He is rich in glory and in mercy. The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,(Eph 1:18). But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)(Eph 2:4-5). Jesus who is so very rich left the kingdom of heaven and came to the world in search of souls like a trader searching for the pearl. All the wealth of this world has a limitation. But the riches of Jesus is infinite. The word of God proclaims this Jesus and His immeasurable riches. Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;(Eph 3:8).
Jesus considers you as a good pearl. That case you are considered priceless. Today many people have the inferiority complex. You do not your own worth. But Satan very well knows your worth. Therefore he creates different complexes in you so that your own worth and merits are blinded to your eyes. Once you understand your own worth in the sight of God you will understand your own honour. Pearls are taken from the bottom of sea.
Thousands of shells are living beings are in the sea. But the pearls are not found in all the shells. Pears are not found in all the species of shells. Only on certain shells the divers find the shells. Pearls do not float on the water. They have to be search and taken from the bottom of the sea. Likewise God searched and called you for his kingdom. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD. (Ps 40:2-3). He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye.(Deut 32:10). God has found us amidst our inequities, sins and miry clay. Trader of pearls when he finds the priceless pearl he sells all his possessions and buys the priceless one.
Same way Jesus shed His priceless blood and purchased you. Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: (1Pet 1:18-19). Because He has saved you with His own blood you have become precious. You may be treated as worthless by your own family members, or in your workplace and in the sight of the others. But when you walk according to the word of God and grow in it, you will shine as precious pearl. Then the people who treaded you worthless will come to honour your. When you shine like pearls God places you in the kingdom of God in a prominent place. And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.(Rev 21
